Meet the Team
Starting in 2026, Dr. Ray Kuo is leading this incredible team, many of whom have been part of your dental family for years, and continue the 45-year legacy of comprehensive, compassionate care.
Dr. Ray Kuo
Dr. Ray earned his D.M.D. with honors from Boston University and served as clinical faculty in Massachusetts before relocating to the Bay Area to raise his young family. Known for his thoroughness and soft touch, his philosophy centers on providing the same high standard of detail-oriented care he would expect for himself.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Ray has a heart for service, having volunteered on dental mission trips to Nicaragua and Togo. In his free time, he enjoys making music – playing the cello and guitar – exploring design with his wife, and cherishing time with their two boys.

Janel Garcia
Office Manager
Janel is our Office Manager and brings over 16 years of experience in the dental field. She began her career at a young age as a dental assistant, where she developed a strong foundation in patient care and gained valuable hands-on experience. Over the years, she built a deep understanding of the dental practice from both clinical and administrative perspectives.
After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Communications from SJSU, Janel transitioned into our office manager, where she has truly found her passion. Outside of the office, Janel is also a certified personal trainer who loves staying active. She enjoys working out, participating in races, and is currently training for a full marathon later this year.
Deanna Glover
Registered Dental Hygienist
Deanna is a dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist with over 8 years of experience in the dental field. Proudly serving patients at Lopez Family Dental since 2025, she is known for creating a relaxed, comfortable environment for every visit. Deanna is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles and enjoys building meaningful connections along the way.
Her commitment to growth led her to pursue advanced training to become a Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice (RDHAP), expanding her ability to care for patients in diverse settings. With a gentle approach and a genuine love for what she does, Deanna strives to make every patient’s experience positive and stress-free.
Gabriela Benitez
Registered Dental Hygienist
Gaby has been a dental hygienist for over 8 years, with more than 13 years of experience in the dental field. She is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their oral health, and enjoys building strong, trusting relationships with those she cares for. She takes pride in creating a positive and welcoming environment, especially for patients who may feel anxious or face communication challenges.
Outside of work, she is currently pursuing undergraduate studies with the goal of attending dental school in the future. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and being with her pets, Bruno and Bigotes.
Kimberly Lopez
Dental Assistant
Kimberly is a dedicated dental assistant with three years of experience, committed to helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their care. She takes pride in creating a welcoming environment and supporting her team with compassion and attention to detail.
Outside of the office, Kimberly is a ribbon florist and co-owns a small business with her fiancé, where they create a variety of delicious, handcrafted treats. Her creativity and passion for helping others shine through in everything she does.
Mayra Garcia
Registered Dental Assistant
Mayra has been the office’s lead dental assistant with over 22 years of experience in the dental field. With her knowledge and expertise, she has been a valuable member of the team. Throughout her career, she has honed her skills and developed a passion for making patients feel comfortable and at ease during their visits. Her dedication and positive, friendly demeanor make her a key part of the practice.
Fun Fact: Mayra is also a loan mortgage officer in the real estate industry and is part of a non-profit organization.
