For decades, this office has been more than a dental practice; it has been a family. As we begin a new chapter this March, we want to share a personal note regarding the transition of Lopez Dental.
From Dr. Lopez, Dr. Devin, and Susan
Aloha, Susan, Dr. Devin, and I are grateful for the support and trust you have shared with us through the years.
It is important that we bring to you a provider who will care for our dental family with competence, honesty, and dignity. Many dentists were interested in our practice. We found Dr. Ray to be the best fit at all levels. His philosophy, credentials and commitment are superior. We are confident he will provide the quality services you deserve.
We are so fortunate to have had you in our lives.
Thank you, be happy,
Michael, Devin and Susan
From Dr. Ray
Dear Patients of Lopez Dental,
I am Dr. Ray. I have the honor of assuming Dr. Lopez’s practice started on March 11, 2026. I recognize that this office represents a legacy of quality and trust built over decades of excellence, and I fully intend to treat you with the same care and kindness.
I earned my bachelor's degree with a double major in Psychology and Molecular & Cellular Biology from UIUC, followed by my dental degree with honors from Boston University. Then, I completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency through NYU Langone, where I later served as clinical faculty, supervising and mentoring dental residents. Clinically, I take pride in and put time into my work. I am known for my thoroughness and gentle touch, striving to deliver the exact same standard of care I would expect for myself.
On a personal note, I was born and raised in Taiwan before immigrating to the U.S. at the age of 14. The journey of facing personal and cultural challenges and eventually overcoming them as a young teenager taught me empathy and patience—traits that are now core values of my practice philosophy. Beyond the clinic, my wife and I are proud parents to our soon-to-be three-year-old son, and we cherish watching him grow and discover the world. We are also eagerly expecting our second boy this coming April. In my free time, I enjoy exploring design with my wife, making music on the guitar, and taking portrait photography of family and friends.
I understand that transitions can be hard. I will save the rest of my introduction for when we meet, as I know that building relationships and trust takes time, and there are no shortcuts.
I am honored to be a part of your oral health journey.
Warmly,
Ray C. Kuo, D.M.D.
