OUR TEAM
At Lopez Dental, we have spent years providing comprehensive, compassionate oral health care to our patients from infancy through senior years. As members of the UCSF Dental Alumni Association, Hispanic Dental Association and the California Dental Hygienists’ Association, we are also active leaders in improving dental policy and education across the state of California.
Michael J Lopez, DDS
Dr. Michael Lopez has been practicing for over thirty years. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of California San Francisco. Dr Lopez is a member of the UCSF Dean’s Advisory Council, serves on the Executive Boards of the University as well the School of Dentistry Alumni Associations and is the Chairman of the Student Relations Committee. He is a National Trustee of the Hispanic Dental Association and is a member of the HDA National Faculty Advisor Committee. Dr. Lopez is recognized nationally for his commitment to increasing access to care.
Dr Lopez was recognized as the 2014 National Outstanding Practitioner of the Year by the Hispanic Dental Association at their National Meeting.
In his free time, Dr. Lopez enjoys reading, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family – especially his two grandsons.
Devin J Lopez, DDS
Dr. Devin is a 2013 graduate of the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry,and received her post-doctoral education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas General Practice Residency. Her focus is on restorative dentistry that makes sense for the patient, as well as preventive dentistry in relation to oral health education. “My goal is to educate and empower my patients so that they can have healthy teeth well into their golden years.” Dr. Devin is a member of the American/California Dental Association as well as Mid-Peninsula Dental Society. She enjoys taking continuing education courses on topics ranging from the latest restorative techniques, to dental care for the aging and elderly, and everything in between.
Dr. Devin’s hobbies include skiing, hiking, seeing live music and cheering on Bay Area sports with her husband. Now most of her time away from the office is spent with her son Jordan, and her daughter Ruby.
Dr. Devin encourages open communication with her patients, hearing what their needs are, and working collaboratively to reach good outcomes. She looks forward getting chair time with you in the near future.
Susan Lopez, RDH
Susan has been a practicing dental hygienist for over thirty years. She received her Baccalaureate degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of California, San Francisco. She served on the Executive Committee for the California Dental Hygienists’ Association and led as its’ president from 2012-2013. In 2013, she was accepted as a member into the American Academy of Dental Hygiene.
Her passion is providing patients with the understanding of how oral health affects their overall health and improving their health by providing personal, quality dental hygiene services.
